I try to keep an open mind about it, really I do, but if you aren't the type to take your shoes off when you go indoors, I fundamentally do not understand you as a human being.

I just - I don't get it! At all! If you trust your those shoes to protect your feet from the floor of a public bathroom why would go inside your home with those same shoes on! Exclamation marks!!!

This led into discussions of:

• the dangers of carpeted stairs and wearing socks indoors,
• whether the paws of outdoor pets should be cleaned whenever they re-enter the house,
• foot hygiene,
• OCD,
• touching raw meat,
• the on-meme oppression of animal haters, and finally
• how germy humans naturally are.
