This Latino cephalopod, going by soy-el-pulpo, first made a big splash on meme in October 2011 and quickly endeared himself to nonnies. However, before long he went adiós.
Señor el Pulpo did inspire an imitator, Pulpo Segundo, but imitation seafood is never as popular as the real thing.
The original did return to visit us on New Year's Day 2012 as Pulpo Navidad, with a follow-up visit on the 8th. Then he disappeared for the next four years, coming back only briefly when a nonny confessed to having been the brains behind him.
