Twenty minutes later, another gasped, ”How dare you, Emma Peel and John Steed love afternoon tea!” After a few expressions of mirth, this nonny was asked whether their joke was a thread misfire. The anon who’d asked complained, “I had to google who these people were and that there was a tv show called Avengers that my grandma prolly watched.”

This set off fairly mild wank of that nonny’s age, their parents’ ages, when the show began and ended, the popularity and iconic-ness of the show, and squabbling over what people should and shouldn’t know.
