The [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/42131.html?thread=192997523#t192997523|ensuing discussion]] included mention of the rather definitely ableist [[http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/i-can-count-to-potato|"I can count to potato!" meme]], as well as [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/42131.html?thread=193441171#t193441171|a Scott-stan imploring,]] //"it is rude, especially since the fans of the character have asked that the term not be used… So, this Scott fan asks that people please stop."//

The subject [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/43393.html?thread=197622145#t197622145|came up again]] about two weeks later. As the OP explained, many //Teen Wolf// fans on Tumblr

Fast-forward three months. The issue [[http://fanficrants.livejournal.com/11276246.html|exploded]] on a [[FanficRants|FanficRants]] post, which was [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224514692#t224514692|dissected by Gentlefailers]]. Among the topics that came up were [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224593796#t224593796|Mr. Potato-head]], [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224556164#t224556164|diana_molloy's wank history]], [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224570244#t224570244|a nonny ironically asterisking out the word as "p%%**%%%%**%%*o,"]] an [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224600708#t224600708|attempt]] to summon [[Theo-Harrison|theo_harrison]], [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224610692#t224610692|snark about ffr]], [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224673412#t224673412|several]] [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224645764#t224645764|video]] [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224763780#t224763780|recs]], [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48772.html?thread=224530308#t224530308|this observation]]…

Shortly thereafter came [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=225365587#t225365587|"seriously, potato? (an academic discourse),"]] which included [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=225498195#t225498195|a long thread about Derrida]]. Almost immediately there followed [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=225378899#t225378899|another tongue-in-cheek thread]].

On page five of "Potato, Potatoe," [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=226179155#t226179155|a nonny]] linked to the Tumblr blog [[http://potatojustice.tumblr.com/|Potato Justice]]. It is not known at this time whether the owner of this blog is a Gentlefailer. During [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=225961299#t225961299|an unrelated thread]] in the same post about gender-nonbinary Tumblr users freaking out over a '90s Nickelodeon meme, one nonny [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=226112595#t226112595|suggests]], //"We should start ranking SJ wanks according to the number of potatoes."//

Later in the same thread, there is [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=226567507#t226567507|explanation of the post title]] for the young'uns/non-USians. And then there was [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/48979.html?thread=226605395#t226605395|this]], which boils down either to a square-off between two Gentlefailer trolls on Tumblr, or one Gentlefailer troll and one very very earnest teenager.
