What resulted was mainly [[countrywank]] between American anons and other anons, with little to do with Deepa herself. The thread also featured [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201294593#t201294593|third-party voting wank]], plus a nonny who announced that [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201324545#t201324545|she didn't vote]] and said she was [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201330945#t201330945|from a Catholic Worker family]], and supplied [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201379329#t201379329|more of her background and "cred"]] later on. At one point, she said to someone snarking her for not voting, [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201344001#t201344001|//"I'll hazard a guess that I engage with democracy, laws, and ideologies which actually effect people's lives more than you do."//]] Elsewhere in the mega-thread, one nonny [[http://fail-fandomanon.livejournal.com/44033.html?thread=201604865#t201604865|wondered]] whether CatholicWorker!nonny was [[magdalene-laundry-troll|the Magdalene Laundry Troll]].
